Fenestration (Fall 2021)
Composed of roughly 60 images of windows from the surrounding neighborhood, this gallery installation plays on the story-telling ability of traditional stained glass. As viewers gaze into the storefront window, they are also gazing into the history of the area through the many portals of nearby places.
To create the components, the images were sent through a custom monochromatic half-tone filter and then printed on transparency film before being arranged on-site. The piece was intended to be seen both day and night as the source of illumination shifts from daylight to interior light at dusk.
